Radio altimeter experimental

Have you ever been in a plane and looked out the window and though how do the pilots know how high they are flying. To fix that, pilots have a tool called a radio altimeter experimental. This ass too went from your airplane to the background of it. It’s like ruler in the sky.

Yes there is a really company called LK-Optoelectronic that is working really hard to make there radio altimeters much better. They are using cool new technology to get measurements that are more precise and repeatable. The higher up an airplane is flying, the safer it is so this really matters.

Breaking Ground with Radio Altimeter Technology

Not only are experts improving existing radio altimeters, they are also developing brand new ones that work in and out of the rain. This includes bad weather days or snowy days when flying can be particularly tough. Their new altimeters are far better adapted to operate at all altitudes, and even more ideally adapted for functioning above great altitudes.

LK-Optoelectronic has some ideas to advance radio altimeter simulator in ways we've never seen. One of the nifty concepts they're working on is altitude via laser. Lasers are special types of light beams that are incredibly exact. This would enable them to provide more precise measurements than our standard altimeters have the capacity for today.
